Paulo is in town

Meet Paulo, some of you may remember him from my adventures in Auckland and our road trip to Queenstown, accompanied by Karl. Things have changed dramatically for both of us in the last 2 years, both of us only planned to be here for a few months but now we are both settled in and with long term, at least for us, girlfriends. My Brizillian friend here is lucky enough to have just recieved confirmation of his NZ residency. Naturally, the only way to celebrate was by introducing him to quality Scottish beer served to us by a Scandinavian lady who was replaced by an English lady when her shift ended.

Despite appearances, Paulo is very nice and is not about to kill someone out of frame. This is just a bad angle, I promise. We are having a nice chat about happy things here and enjoying a good beer, his attention was caught by something passing the window as he spoke. Catching up is something we rarely do, especially not in person, it was fantastic to actually meet face to face again. It is definately my turn to go to Wellington next.
