Vivid red flowers!

I am still coughing a lot but we did pop out for some fresh air today and I noticed that this bed of flowers had suddenly come to life this week. I have no idea what these flowers are and wondered if any blippers know? They truly were this red, I have not adjusted the colour and they have many more petals than you would expect on a tulip. I would be interested to know what they are?
