Batik Owls

This Owl Batik hangs on my Mums hall wall and it was designed and made by me for my CSE Art and Crafts Exam.

That exam was 30 years ago and I remember it so well, the picture was part of a mini-exhibition. The other pieces were a seed head batik (hung in Mum's porch, now very faded!), clay pot depicting trees (I have this), Clay Aloe Vera plant (not sure what happened to that!), a square slab pot with bird cut outs on(now used as Mums utensil pot) and a pottery Rolls Royce Phantom Car, (in Mums loft) I didn't love school and I didn't hate it, I just did it, but the the Art and Craft lessons were the very best and the teacher was amazing.

I managed a Grade 1 CSE for my work and an offer of quite lot of money for this batik! I couldn't take 'O' Level art as I can't draw!

New washing machine finally arrived today after not being able to be delivered on Thursday as it was damaged, now have to run a 2.5 hour, mega hot wash before I can do the real washing........
