Christ is Risen!

"‘Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!"

It was a beautiful and sunny Easter Sunday, and, like many Sunday's, I spent part of it looking at this window in Clincarthill Church. It is, in fact a memorial window from the first world war, and shows the resurrected Christ towering over the battlefields of the 'great war'. It's the stuff of Empire, with religious and national identity linked together. It is a creation of its time, but at the same time can express something timeless: Christ is risen!
