A Monkey's Tale

By MonkeyWithAView

There's Summit about this place!

The view from the top of Hartside Summit.

Hartside, sitting at an altitude of 1903 ft, is one of the east ridges of Stybarrow Dodd, an peculiarly named fell in the Lakes District. Incredible, I know. Amazing still is that this brilliant & blustery spot is only a short drive from Mummy & Daddy C's in Northumberland.

Mummy C, Jenny & I travelled the winding, hairpin roads so that I could take in the spectacular views for the first time. Although it was slightly overcast, thereby shielding some of the views, & blowing an absolute hooley, we did enjoy a nice cuppa in the café along with all the bikers & cyclists.

It's been a very relaxed Easter Sunday & it will be sad to see it end.
