(Tonight I'm A) Rock and Roll Star
I'm quite worried for my son's eardrums after tonight's gig. I'm worried about mine.
He was playing with his band Sound Effects at the William Webb Ellis pub in Rugby. They play covers of Oasis, Stone Roses etc etc and were excellent we really enjoyed it. But it was VERY loud.
The pub is named after the man who first picked up the ball and ran with it in a game of football, and thus invented the game of Rugby at the nearby public school in 1823.
'.... who with fine disregard for the rules of football as played in his time
first took the ball in his arms and ran with it, thus originating the distinctive feature of the "rugby game".'
