Birthday Girl
Easter Sunday, Alleluia. Miss Pink's birthday, yippee!
A double celebration today. celebrating Easter, and celebrating Miss Pink's birthday. How wonderful.
We woke up at 7am, it may have been earlier. I had tried to wake up in time for the sunrise service at church, but a week of late nights and busy days has taken it's toll and I couldn't get out of bed at 5am!
We did however have a lovely time opening presents, having cuddles, and eating chocolate for breakfast. I admit, I really missed my church family and it felt a bit odd not being at church to celebrate Easter, but I know that there won't be many birthdays on Easter Sunday while the mini pinks are little enough to want to get up early and excitedly!
Miss Pink had visitors all day, we had family here, Grandpa, Miss B my niece, Auntie and both Uncle Pinks came for lunch. Even Grandma who is really poorly came and cosied up on the sofa, and mustered enough strength to help blow the candles out! (Well done Mum, so glad you came). B was very excited by Goldie, and we spent some time looking at him, and she enjoyed playing with the mini pinks toys and doing colouring.
After lunch we headed into the slightly soggy garden to hunt out the Easter eggs that had been hidden. B wasn't so sure about egg hunting, but she did love the cosy coupe. So guess what.....the cosy coupe transported her (by Auntie magic) to all the hidden Easter Eggs!
After the family had headed home for naps ( B and Grandma!!) our friends came round to pay Miss Pink a visit. They brought with them more presents, and more chocolate. What a fabulous day for a five year old, new toys AND chocolate all day!!!
Thankyou to everyone who has made today so special, including *mygirl* for Miss Pink's birthday outfit that was worn all day today, very proudly.
