From Now On...

The garden tomb is EMPTY!

Happy Easter to you all!

Our day began a little less early than some on blip but with an earlier than usual service followed by breakfast together. I treated myself to two croissants..with butter and marmalade..delicious!

The children stayed in for the whole service today. Several were away so the few who were here had to do double the 'work'; find puzzle pieces and finish a puzzle as seen here - except the middle is missing because Jesus has RISEN - and play a memory game.

The older group shared the results of a Lent 'talents' task they had been set which meant making £10 grow. Cake baking and sales, and bulb dibber making resulted in - so far - £30 growing to £442! And there is yet more to come. WONDERFUL! The money will go to Tearfund, a humanitarian charity which works in the third world, and will specifically be used to install 400ltr water tanks in the homes of ten families and so save children walking miles twice a day to collect water.

And of course there had to be an Easter egg hunt! And my sister and nephew joined us for dinner, which has been a happy relaxed time. The rain didn't spoil THIS happy Easter Day!

Last day of the holiday tomorrow! It's gone so quickly but it's been good!
