Just Tramming

I somehow got talked into taking Jack on a heritage tram tour in Blackpool today.

He does miss the old trams since the Flexity trams arrived in 2012. Personally I prefer the new ones, much more comfortable. But the chance to ride the heritage ones are rare these days.

We rode the top deck of balloon car 717 and when it stopped behind a Flexity at Fleetwood ferry the old tram was reflected in the new one.

Shortly after this 631 the heritage brush car behind us broke down and stuffed up the whole system for a couple of hours! Jack informs me this was probably due to a voltage incompatibilty of the new and old systems.

I'll take his word for it.
