In Bruges

Like the film, only decidedly less violent. This time (my second in a few months) my friend Carol (over visiting for the weekend from Dublin) and I took a circuitous route to the centre, nearly completing the full loop of the medieval moat that encircles the city before meandering down the narrow streets and beautiful stone bridges of Steenhouwersdijk. Good thing, as the main town square was packed and disappointing. Otherwise it made for a great Easter day trip, rounded off by this shot of (I believe) Hotel Egmond on the Minnewater, just before catching the train back to Brussels.
