Thirsty Work

We went to the Briarbank Brewery's Beer Festival for a leisurly few pints. Me that is; C was driving and only had a half.

I don't understand why organisers think there must be live music at a beer festival. It's not a gig or a concert - it's a beer festival. We're there to taste good beer, solve the world's problems and decide what we're going to do if we win the lottery.

This band was good enough, but would have been more enjoyable if they were a wee bit less loud. Their average age must have been in the middle eighties, with the clarinet player (youngest looking) being no younger than 75 and the base player being 93.

The other "entertainment" was a yougster who killed Ziggy Stardust. We knew that it was Ziggy Stardust, because he said so - there was no way of recognising it or the other songs he played, but we can say for sure that there was a cat strangled in every one of them.

Came home & had popcorn, dorito's & Black Stump Durif Shiraz.
