Otematata Gold

Today MrsPuff and I went on a small excursion, our mission was rocks in the landscape our next set subject at our photo club salon in May. We went out to Waimate and beyond stopping at Waihao to look at the flood damage. We then traveled to Lake Benmore one of the largest earth dams in the Southern hemisphere. This I shot at Otematata on the shores of Lake Benmore. The Autumn colours are all around the lake and what a fantastic day out stopping at the elephant Rocks which is part of the Hidden World where we shot until our hearts were content with the sun going down,the different colours in the clouds and partly overcast sky were wonderful
