Dutch poppies

There are flowers everywhere. We had a short walk before brunch at Dog 2 with a school friend I haven't seen for XXX years. She is looking fabulous and loves her work, a gorgeous family, but then she always was one of the brightest sparks and deserves it all. It was so lovely to see her.

Then we had a long walk along the Amstel, amongst poppies, broom of all colours, tulips of course, laburnum, ducklings, baby Coots and Moorhens perched on nests between the boats. You'd think it was Spring!

Then we found a brilliant shop called Markt full of lovely things to eat, so we bought dinner including venison steak and salad leaves with ..... flowers in it!
