Malta Day 9: This is not the photo I want to use..

I can't use the photo I want because there needs to be some other things done around it...

However, this is Ray (in the middle) with me on the left and Rodger on the right.

Ray is a great Birder, and he his Maltese, living in and amongst some of the worst elements of this country. But he is always cheerful and hopeful. He is always grateful to see us out here, and yet here is, year after year, living through black storks, flamingos and eagles being shot as well as anything else from the smallest to the largest bird - on Malta, if it flies, it dies.

He is one of the reasons I keep coming back, because there were no Rays on Malta, there would be no point.
