Harvest

A few months ago, friends of ours bought a property that included about 25 rows of grapevines.

Being new to vineyards they have sought advice from the experts and have since toiled away themselves to maintain the vines.

Today was harvest day for the Pinot Noir grapes. They invited a bunch of friends and recruited their children to pick the delicious fruit.

I went with Paul to deliver one of the several tonnes of grapes to the winery for them to work their magic. We delivered them in his newly acquired beautiful '53 Chevy pickup truck. The guy at the winery reckons in his 2o years on the job that was the classiest way he'd seen any grapes delivered.

Here's hoping that same good taste makes it through into the wine.
