Independence and Cinderella makes pizza

So as all parents of four year olds know, the need for independence grows daily. In the last week our daughter has advanced to opening her car door (from the outside) by herself, strapping herself into her car seat by herself, shampooing her hair by herself and being able to do half a dozen other things. In the last two days whenever we have done baking, she did it all. Ok so I did the hot part of it - putting things in and out of the oven! Our darling girl has done the measuring, the mixing, the rolling, the transfers to the trays and the serving! Yesterday also the "painting" of milk on top of the scones.
Tonight was movie and pizza night. The movie of choice - ET. I had forgotten how scary it is and how many Star Wars references there are but our daughter sailed through it - even the "death" scenes. And of course she made the pizza from scratch - whilst wearing a beautiful ball dress. Thanks to Auntie R for providing a beautiful dress that also washes easily!
