Sweet Bread

My Italian family has many traditions regarding all the major holidays and all of them center around food. The big family get togethers when everyone sat around the table for hours going from breakfast to lunch to dessert don't always happen for every holiday, but we do all try to connect in some way. Traditionally on Good Friday, my mother, grandmother and aunts made this ham, cheese and egg pie/pizza (called pizzagaina, but it couldn't be eaten til Easter Sunday for breakfast. Never quite understood that. I don't wait anymore and every time I do it, I see my mother waving her finger at me. Saturday is for the sweet stuff (also not supposed to be eaten until Sunday). Looking forward to brunch with our niece and her family tomorrow. Happy Easter all.
