Hidden Valley
A beautiful day today, West of Scotland at it's very best.
We decided to head up to Glencoe and walk the route that goes up into the Hidden Valley. This valley, Coire Gabhail, was reputedly where the MacDonalds hid their cattle from the Campbells. It is a fantastic flat bottomed hanging valley that can only be seen by climbing up the steep scree and boulder strewn path until you go over the lip and into the valley itself. This is the view that you see as you descend from the lip into the valley.
The Glencoe road was very busy today and when we got to the car park 4 coaches had decided to park end to end along the road blocking entry and exit to the car park. I was extremely pissed off annoyed with them. The people in the coach only walk their own length to take a couple of photos. The car park is for walkers to access several of the Glencoe routes. I believe these coach parties do far more harm than good in our area and I wouldn't be sad if they were all banned!!! Sorry if you've been on one, I don't recommend this as the way to see Scotland. Rant over for now.
Anyway we stopped for ice cream at the Green Welly and Dinner in The George Inveraray to finish off the is lovely day
