Glasgow Cathedral (St Mungo's)
We have just returned by train from a wonderful 24 hours spent in Glasgow - Scotland's largest city but not known nearly as well to me as Edinburgh.
It was a bit of a trip down memory lane for Mrs AMK and her brother from HK visiting our niece who is a Glasgow student.
We started with the magnificent Glasgow Cathedral and then walked to the Necropolis dominated on the skyline by a statue of John Knox . From there we visited the National Trust Tenement House which was fascinating as my mother in law had been brought up in a similar building - then on to People's Palace stopping on the way past to admire the ornate facade of Templeton on the Green which had been the Templeton's carpet factory where my mother in law worked from the age of 14 till the start of WW2.
Now putting my rather tired feet up!
