Rhododendron
Today started well.
But.
After mowing the lawns then having breakfast and kicking the arse out of the Special Guardian Prize Crossword* and all that by 11 a.m., things couldn't keep going so smoothly.
And so it proved.
You don't need all the details. But it involved a lot of ankle twisting, foot swelling and crutches. Oh and a fair bit of swearing.
However, dinner tonight with friends and a few beers seems to have relieved most of the pain.
I fully expect to wake up tomorrow unable to move and with a foot the size of a whale.
*The Guardian has themed crosswords for Xmas, Easter and the August Bank Holiday. Normally bigger grids and very twisted themes. Today's was all about one work of an author who was born in 1914. If you need some help with it, just ask.
