Voyage of a Beagle & Lab

Beagle Bedlam

Up and about impossibly early today, so early that we meet all the usual dogs as they were coming into the park and we were leaving. Josh was playing in a football tournament and the first game was 8.45am - don't ask, didn't go well, the first team they played was one of the Scotland teams and the next team didn't show up so they had to play a team of older boys, never mind it's the taking part, if I tell him that often enough he might just believe it.
Anyway having walked the dog, scooted about house and all other members of the family seemed to be entertained for the day I decided to head for Fife and a beagle walk. Coco was so well behaved (except for the time she decided to follow a break away group who made a mad dash across the mud flats, she did stop and start to come back and then obviously thought, to hell if they're going, I'm going too and turned to join the group. They really did run too far to see properly what happened but a poor couple sitting quietly, in a deserted spot were suddenly ambushed by 6 beagles, I really hope they weren't in the middle of a picnic, and if you were on the beach at Burntisland today and were accosted by beagles I apologise. To Coco's credit she did seem to be leading the charge back to join the rest of the group!) We had a great afternoon and the little beaglebum has been fed, watered and the sand brushed from her and is now very sleepy.
I returned home to find the boys were still out and Ky and her friend had borrowed Josh's Xbox and were playing his Lego Hobbit game while singing songs from Grease at the top of their voices, I found this even more surprising as Ky seemed to know all the words but has never seen the film!
Hope the sun is shining on everyone and you're having a fantastic weekend!
Coco in second place, wearing her new bandana - it was great to spot her in the pack.
