Sandcastles

We decided to take a trip through to St Andrews with our oldest grandson Nathan and his Auntie Lindsay, am so glad that we thought to take extra jumpers and jackets with us as the wind was freezing everyone on the beach was wrapped up. We had our picnic at the side of the car where we had parked as it was at least a little more sheltered from the wind , Nathan tucked into his sausage roll then some fruit then he was ready for the beach. Took him down to the water first so he could paddle his feet surprisingly the water was warm but he wasn't too sure about his toes in the wet squishy sand so paddling was soon over, so it was buckets and spades next this he did enjoy . We didn't stay much longer as he was starting to shiver the wee scone , so it was back on with socks and shoes once I got his feet sort of cleaned and back to the warmth of the car.
