By mid-morning yesterday, the Good Friday crowds, of both locals and tourists, were swarming around this popular area of the city. I would not have felt comfortable standing at this viewpoint on the waterside, in danger of taking an involuntary dip from a careless push.

Perhaps the excesses of eating and drinking late into last night kept the crowds away this morning, until we were well on our way
