Birthday Hair

Our granddaughter's 15th birthday is coming up and her request for her gift was to get hightlights in her hair for the first time. Since they had no school today, I took the day off and along with my daughter-in-law and best friend we went off to the hairdressers. She got what is called peek-a-boo highlights in the color purple and it turned out beautifully. A super subtle look for her and she loves it. Of course the rest of us ladies got haircuts while we were there, mine the equivalent of a crew cut almost but it will grow. The others got regular haircuts.
This is her sitting under the hair dryer baking in the purple color before the final rinse and styling. After we were done, we went to get something to eat and she was thrilled to be flirted with by a young man working there. Our sweetheart is coming out of her shell. They grow up so fast!! Now she wants to start working on getting her driver's learner's permit.
A fun day for all of us even though the weather was storming and it looked like a monsoon.
