Flowers .......

................ on the outside.

The front garden to be precise.

This is a Canary Bird rose (Rosa xanthine) - one of the first shrubs/climbers/trees (depends how you train them) that we bought when we moved here 22 years ago. I meant to prune it right back to the ground but forgot ....... despite that it is filled with yellow flowers with hundreds of buds still to burst.

We had a part-time gardener (Brian) for about eight years who did all the things in the garden that I don't like doing ..... pruning, weeding, digging ...... but he (very selfishly - lol) moved away to Scotland three years ago and, since then, 'the growing things' have gone rather wild - I miss him!!

Going up to Mum's for a couple of hours as Himself has also gone family visiting - his Mum damaged her back in Spain (she is still having a lot of trouble moving about) and, the day after they got back, his Dad was taken into hospital - he came out yesterday so Himself is driving the 200 mile round trip to go shopping and just make sure they are okay.

What a worry these parents are ..... am sure they are just getting their own back for all the worry we put them through when we were younger!!!! :-))
