OPTIMISTIC

The theme for today's pic is "Optimistic", and this image is certainly a prime example of that. Ever since my son Dave made the life-altering decision to have gastric by-pass surgery to lose weight and correct his diabetes, I have been inspired to follow suit using just diet and exercise. So far, I've lost about 20 pounds...Dave has lost 80!! I have no serious thoughts of losing that kind of weight, but the weight you see on that scale is what I weighed when I came out of Navy boot camp when I was 17. THAT is my goal, and thanks to my son, I am "optimistic" that I will succeed. Thanks Dave!
