Swallow

At work today I kept one eye on the sunny day outside thinking - weather for first BBQ of year this evening ?

At lowsin' time the weather held up so we fired up the BBQ and enjoyed some tasty food outdoors for the first time since the Autumn. It was getting a bit chilly by 8pm, but as we huddled round the BBQ for a heat, a lone swallow swooped in from the West, the first to return this year :)

Love the fact that the swallows come back here to breed after their epic trip to Southern Africa for Winter. I've been looking out for them for a couple of weeks - its always so special to see the first one - a sure sign that Summer is on its way.
