Tidy up

Until this morning, this corner of the garden sported a dead plum tree, lots of honeysuckle, some weeds, and an unused compost bin. Our efforts revealed that the climbing hydrangea is still alive and has buds on it for the first time. It's probably quite shocked to be in the light rather than being strangled by honeysuckle.

Just have to work out what to put in that corner now. East(ish) facing, on clay soil, quite shady....

We may also have to try to prop up next door's fence - the post has rotted and that whole section is quite wobbly.

Went to see Quins home game v Leicester. A nail-biter. I've never heard a rugby crowd sing,"You don't know what you're doing", at the ref before. Quins came out the winners and most people at the game went home hoarse. As a Quins fan, it was the right result.
