An Easter Walk

I'm in Aberdeen. I won't talk about the journey north but needless to say the 'sleeper service' didn't go to plan. When one is expecting a bed, a seat is a bitter disappointment!

Anyway I'm here now and have had such a lovely day. The kids were generally really good and seeing my partner bond with them for the first time warmed my little cockles! Here's a pic of them on our walk in the beautiful sunshine, chatting about the flowers and animals in the woods.

I love these kids so much and living 530 miles away makes my heart ache. But days like today shine bright in my memories and I'm glad I have a long weekend to enjoy them. :)
