The accidental finding

Little prickly things

When I awoke this morning I still had a swollen leg with a degree of pins and needles. I got an appointment with the out of hours GP and he took blood samples. For some reason my blood wouldn't flow, even though the doc told me he was 'good with blood' and 'you've got great veins'. So I ended up with multiple punctures and bruises. The blood was sent to haematology for testing for Deep Vein Thrombosis, but since they haven't rung me, and are not answering the phone, I can assume that I haven't got it. This is good news as I did't really want a course of injections over Easter! My leg still aches but I can live with that. Next time I have a long journey I will book a hotel room in the middle to break it up a bit, and give me a chance to move.

For most of the day I just lazed around, did a bit of housework, and a lot of nothing. Watched The Great North Passion on TV, since I'd missed the Good Friday witness procession through Stroud. Fell asleep in the sunshine. CleanSteve fell asleep in bed! It was that sort of day.

Bomble slept too. He is better: Steve had to take him to the vet in my absence, as he had a tooth problem. The affected canine (???) has been removed, so he has only one left, but his spirits have picked up. Seemingly he was very low, and could barely manage the stairs. Poor thing! He is now chasing around with the boys next door, who I am feeding once again.

This little succulent is in our cabin. I may have blipped it last year. We don't know the name: let's ask a blipper!
