Spring comes to the Canongate
The poet Robert Fergusson (1759 - 1774), whose statue stands outside Canongate Kirk. The blossom is on a tree planted by HRH Prince Philip in 1953. Opposite is the Museum of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh was looking absolutely glorious today in the spring sunshine. I walked from home to Craigwell Cottage to welcome guests, then back again via a different east-west route. A pleasure.
