Towers
Tower Bridge, taken from a boat. The whole ride was incredibly striking, with the sun setting and casting a beautiful light on all the iconic London buildings (Canary Wharf looked awesome). The lighting almost looks fake here but its legit!
Kensal is growing on me. To the extent where I wouldn’t mind living in this area of London. Nice and residential, but right next to a busy high street full of shops and cool pubs. Not too expensive either. Got a lot to consider when it comes to apartment hunting for next year!
Anyway, we got breakfast at a local joint, then hopped on the tube for the Tower of London. Most of the morning we spent visiting the place. My grandma was very keen to see everything (except the jewels, oops!) and it was pretty interesting. We then grabbed one of the clipper boats to Greenwich. The village has got some impressive buildings, there’s no shortage of them. We went up to the observatory to check out what was going on there. Except for the beautiful view over London, there’s not much to see. Except a giant queue to take photos in front of the zero longitude monument. Classic tourists.
Had to queue for a while for the boat back but it was so worth it! The sky had cleared, as seen in the photo. From Embankment, we went to Soho to walk around there and grab dinner at a Wagamama's. Good day!
