Maid of the Loch
It was -2 when I left the house at 545am and had risen to freezing when H and I arrived at the loch. H was sure we were going to die, sowse passed the time on the journey making plans for our (joint) funeral. I was inspired to quote Worf from Star Trek Next Generation: "today is a good day to die!"
Anyway, not surprisingly, we survived and better than that had a wonderful swim / float about watching the mist rise from the water and looking up towards Ben Lomond. We've learnt to stay in long enough to have fun, but not so long to become really cold and uncomfortable. Coffee and a toasted tea cake was our reward. Then back to chez H for a quick play with puppies and home for gardening and dog walking. Now sipping a gin before heading out for dinner. Happy, happy, happy.
