And in this case was sufficient to see off our ageing lawn mower.

This meant that rather than starting the day by cutting the grass, I spent the first part of the day trying to decide what sort of lawn mower I needed.

The replacement has now been selected, assembled and used and the 'lawn' reduced to rather more manageable proportions.

The old mower lasted 15 years, wonder if the new one will make it to 2029?
