Easter ducks....

We went into Spinningfields in Manchester to see the Good Friday rubber duck race on the River Irwell. Our plans didn't quite work out the way that we planned but that was no bad thing.

It was one of those days where the weather played along with people's plans and came to the party. The lawns at Spinningfields were thick with people drinking cocktails and waiting for the movie to begin, appropriately enough, 'The Mighty Ducks.' And the river banks were lined with people waiting for the race to begin which has become something of a tradition every Good Friday.

We have a set of wooden ducks that have been picked up at various times at markets in the city. It's become something of a tradition here to decorate them for whatever season or event we are celebrating. Here are three all ready for Easter...
