Charlie

is now 10 days old. He came to tea and slept all through the noisiest evenings we have had for some years. I think there were 18 of us here for tea, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins. In fact our whole family was here which is unusual and a nice treat.

Our cat even came to tea bringing us something to share, a large mouse (some said a rat). He came into the house with it, which caused some of the females to jump, just like on the movies. Niece Julia, jumped over the back of the lounge and nearly landed on poor Charlie.

All the toys were scattered over the house and we had to capture the runaway mouse, with a box and oven pan, then it was safely transported out of the house by the hero of the evening, our son Bryan. It was a very funny evening. Clever cat has caught 4 mice in 24 hours! The cool weather must be causing them to migrate!
