Today's the day .......................... to assemble

Unfortunately, if you pay a visit to here - it's almost invariably a forerunner to finding yourself trying to make sense of something like the above.

Is it just us - or is making up IKEA furniture one of the most exhausting and stressful experiences known to mankind? It certainly takes more than one person - and I think it's quite interesting that the second person (as shown in the comprehensive IKEA manual included with every kit) is a woman. Even more significant is that, amazingly, she looks a bit like me.

So, we've now been at it for hours - Instruction No 27 to be precise. Will's had enough and he's gone off to Burgundy's Jazz. There's no way, I'm soldiering on by myself (that sort of thing would merit a big black cross ...) - so it looks like we'll be sleeping the night on the old bed after all ......................
