Citadel Carlisle

The Citadel is two gatehouses that controlled entry from the south into Carlisle when the city had a wall. These were built on 1810 but the original was built by Henry VIII in the 1570s. He was chief stone mason.

Now it's used as offices for Cumbria County Council.
