The White Dutch Desert
So I guess it was winter all over Europe today. First snow in the Netherlands this year and it was a proper pack too! It turned the Veluwe into the most beautiful area, although the sky was rather grey. The normal brown drift sand was now a beautiful white pack of snow with the occasional tree.
We went there with a few fellow students, some of whom are African and had never seen snow before. It was fantastic really. I also noticed some did not know what a castle was. Quite reasonable actually, since only Europeans tended to slaughter eachother in those days...
So it was a good day, but to remain in a good spirit I won't start about how our rail company dealt with the first snow. Just one thing: 6,5 hours of travel time today....
Enjoy blipping the snow!
