Why do our dogs hate pigeons?

Our poor old deceased cat (Pickle) also hated them and used to sit in the window making her special "pigeon growl" She only did that noise at pigeons, nothing else.

I arrived home this evening, and the dogs were having great fun in the garden until - they spotted a pigeon. They barked and barked, but the pigeon wouldn't budge and wasn't going to budge.

I needed to move Mr Pigeon on myself.

I picked up a small piece of earth, and I'm ashamed to say that threw it at Mr Pigeon.

Mr Pigeon flew off. So did my bracelet and it landed in the flowers right down the garden.

Here is my bracelet before I retrieved it. I should have known better - it's not the first time I've done that!
