In search of bluebells

I'm ashamed to say that despite living near the South Downs for 12 years, I have never tracked down the bluebell woods that appear for such a short time each spring – until today. Now I realise how difficult it is to do them any justice in a photograph :-)

We had a jolly time though, even if everyone did come back sneezing and wheezing.
