A Treecycled Elm

Continuing the theme of Le Tour de France, this photograph is of a dead 100+ year old Elm tree located beside the Stray in Harrogate.
Rather than remove the whole stump, the council invited tree chainsaw artist Mick Burns to create this fantastic piece of artwork from the remains of the tree to mark the visit of the 2014 Tour de France to the town.
