getting there

Started making this blanket quite a while ago, but decided if I wanted this on JimJams bed when we get home, I'd better crack on! Only one short and one long side to do.

Jimjam has had a very busy week. Hickman line got infected, so after antibiotics and two negative tests it had to come out. So a trip to theatre last Friday and a cannula and pic line put in so drugs and TPN can be administered. By Saturday lunch time the cannula came out as her leg so very sore. By Wednesday the pic line came out as she couldn't move her leg and was very swollen. So had to resort to another cannula. This didn't give much access so only saline is going through it and all drugs through her peg. Which in itself is huge as we have had issues with her tummy. A contrast study was done on Wednesday to see if we could find out what's been going on. Because of JimJams gamey leg we also had ultrasound to check the pic hadn't clotted, which it hadn't. We have got to know the Xray receptionists well this week. I don't think there has been a part of JJ's body that hasn't been imaged! Even the porters have started calling her JimJam. Maybe it's time to leave......?

Another busy day tomorrow as Hickman Line no. 4 is going in.

Our last visit to BMT in 2011 resulted in a 112 day stay. We are now on 101 (day+ 93 post transplant.) Can we get out of here in 9 days so we bet our record......?
