Black Guillemot

It was a bit of a drizzly dreich morning with a cold wind and L and I found ourselves at the harbour.

I was happy to see these little birds. The RSPB website says that you see them commonly in pairs but there were ten or twelve of them in the harbour sheltering. I love their little red feet and the red inside to their beaks and their little calls to each other.

Okay so my neighbour back at home I might never speak to again.....guess what he blipped yesterday.....head over here to have a look! I look for these in Ireland and suddenly they're at home in Scotland very near where I live!! You couldn't make it up!!
