Pixellated Girl

A lovely sunny spring morning, suddenly darkened by a phonecall at 9am with very bad news that we knew could come someday soon but which we didn't expect today.

I had to catch a train to Swansea. Here, on Platform 3 of Bristol Temple Meads Station, is Luke Jerram's statue of his daughter, pixellated. I like Jerram's work a lot. He peppered the city with upright pianos a while ago, and now he is planning a water-slide down Park Street. It's good to have artists like him around, brightening up even the darkest of days.
