April 14 1974...

...one of the best days of my life, my first pet mouse! Can it really be 40 years ago?! A heroic creature, I used to toast earwigs with a magnifying glass so that he could crack them open like a sunflower seed, he used to run fearlessly on the patio in the garden, unafraid of vicious predators like our cat! RIP Shandy a fine mouse amongst many rodent friends!
