Strange insects

Walking in our backyard looking for a blip, I found this weird creature sitting on a leaf. I have no idea what it is. The only thing I know is that I'm glad it's outside and not inside.
We had 2 bees in our house today. I hope that's a coincidence and that there's no colony hiding somewhere in our house. We have caught one of the bees and put it outside and hopefully we can catch the other one too.
