A beautiful day for the beach
An eventful but lovely day:
X-rays this morning for both Ol & me which ended up with me in fracture clinic as they found that I've fractured my wedding ring finger. There was me thinking that it'd heal in a week and I'd be able to play the last couple of basketball games of the season. But no- out of sport for 6 weeks and unlikely to be able to wear my engagement ring until June!
Ol's x-ray was fine but he's booked in for fracture clinic next week to investigate further, so he's still hobbling around.
With the annoyance of not being able to play sport nor do many of the gym classes, I decided to go for a long run and took some lovely pics of Cobo Bay.
However, when meeting up with my girls and their children down at Portsoif, I took some stunning pics on our walk around to Portinfer (today's blip). I have fond memories of hitting the surf at this bay on many occasions when I was a child, with my neighbours, on my polystyrene surf board! We used to camp out for the afternoon on one of the big flat rocks and I used to struggle big time walking over the rocks, barefoot, to the sea, whereas my neighbours were super quick on their super non-sensitive feet.
Had a lovely catchup, walk, ice cream and then play in the Portsoif sand with the gang. Popped to school for a while and then had a lovely dinner with other friends at one of their houses.
