Burning
I was revising Stellar Evolution at home today, and writing flowcharts about how different masses of stars evolve. Stars undergo Hydrogen burning, and then Helium burning. It's not exactly burning like the way this candle burns, but it is a chemical reaction that produces energy in the form of heat and light.
I love in The Lion King, how Pumbaa admits he has always thought that stars are big balls of burning gas, and Timon doesn't believe him.
