I can see light

"It's been a long time coming.... so we want to embrace it enthusiastically and show what we can do", said one of my colleagues today in a meeting that we held about adult learning this morning.

It was an interesting experience for me because although we were planning an event to bring learners and practitioners together, I still felt that we had to protect the space for learners to play their part.

I don't apologise for the fact that my passion is to work with our learners group to develop programmes that meet their needs and aspirations. I much prefer to stay in the shadows and encourage them to move towards the light. It's a privilege and an honour to be included in an adult learners' journey and I've never found a better experience anywhere else.
